St. George Utah Interest Rates - Buydowns An interest rate buydown, or step down payment as it is also called, works with the current market rates. A type of buydown often used is the two-one payment, which means that you would pay above market rates at the begining of the loan and on the later half, you would pay below the market rates. This can work extremely well if timed right. You can time it right by paying above market rates when the market percentages are very low, and then pay below when the market rates rise. The climate in St. George is semi-arid with two separate rainfall seasons in the early spring and late summer which average about eight inches of annual precipitation. Although average maximum temperatures for the summer months are between 95 and 101 degrees Fahrenheit, the low humidity makes these temperatures agreeable.

Geographical Washington County is located in the far southwest corner of Utah, just 6 miles from the Arizona state line on Interstate 15.
